摘要
The removal of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution using nanoscale iron particles was investigated. The effect of pH and temperature on Cr(VI) reduction was determined. The results showed that the removal efficiency of Cr(VI) increased with increase of the initial concentration of Cr(VI) from 1 to 10 mg/L. The removal process of Cr(VI) by nano-iron particles followed the first-order reaction kinetics and the rate constant was in the range of 0.164-0.184 min(-1). The thermodynamic parameters, such as entropy (Delta S), free energy (Delta G) and enthalpy (Delta H) of Cr(VI) reduction by nano-iron particles were calculated. The reduction of Cr(VI) by nanoscale iron particles was spontaneous process.
