摘要
Inspired by the Free Space Optics (FSO) technology, this paper studies the impact of network reconfiguration upon link failures. Since links are created using laser beams, automatic local reconfigurations become feasible. We study the impact of inserting diagonal links on the overall network performance. Empirical study using simulations was done with two heuristics proposed in this paper.
