摘要
The efficiency of Zn(II) removal from aqueous solutions was investigated using Sphagnum moss peat as adsorbent. A 2(3) full factorial central orthogonal design was carried out in order to achieve the best conditions of Zn(II) sorption on peat. The combined effect of initial concentration of Zn(II) in aqueous solution (C(0), mg/l), peat dose (G, g/l) and pH was studied and optimised using response surface methodology (RSM). The optimum values of C(0)*, G* and pH(center dot) were found to be 20.7 mg/l, 34.4 g/l, and 4.96, respectively; in this point the removal efficiency is the maximum one (100.45% given by response model and 98.32% verified experimentally).
