摘要
I present low-resolution optical spectroscopy of two very low luminosity young stellar object candidates in Taurus. Both have faint companions with separations less than 6 ", reported by Itoh, Tamura, & Nakajima, who considered them as likely substellar objects. However, the optical spectra demonstrate that they are reddened background stars (A(v) greater than or equal to 4 mag). One of the candidate primaries is confirmed as a new member of the Taurus T Tauri association. It is a classical T Tauri star of early M spectral type with blue and near-infrared continuum excesses. The spectrophotometric properties indicate that it could be an edge-on disk. The other candidate primary is a background early-type star.
