摘要
The stability of spherical gold nanoparticles embedded in polyethylene glycol diacrylate (PEGDA) with varying molecular weights is tested. The refractive index of the chosen PEGDA is measured as function of the wavelength and used as a parameter to predict the extinction spectrum of gold nanoparticles embedded in the polymeric matrix. The experimental absorbance spectrum of AuNPs-containing PEGDA hydrogel is measured via a transmission mode optical setup. The designed device can be used as a platform for biosensing applications and offers promising opportunities for real-time and early diagnosis of diseases.
