Photoluminescence and Low Voltage Cathodoluminescence of Sr3AlO4F:Eu3+

摘要
Sr3-2xEuxNaxAlO4F phosphors were prepared through a high temperature solid-state reaction route. Their photoluminescence and cathodoluminescence properties were investigated. The spectroscopic properties were discussed in terms of the site occupancy and the site symmetry of Eu3+ in the host lattice. To check the optimum doping level and the proper operation condition, the emission intensity as a function of doping concentration (x value), accelerating voltage, and filament current was investigated. Among these series of phosphors, Sr2.80Eu0.10Na0.10AlO4F shows a bright red luminescence with a dominant D-5(0)-F-7(2) emission at similar to 618 nm and suitable chromaticity coordinates (0.631, 0.354), showing that the phosphor may be a potential candidate for field emission display application.
