摘要
Silica fume, defined as ultra-fine particles of amorphous silicon dioxide, is used to produce both high strength and highly durable concrete. This paper provides an introduction to the benefits of silica fume in ultra high performance concrete formulations. Ultra high performance concrete mixtures are sensitive to the different qualities and properties of silica fume and it is important to select silica fume with suitable properties when formulating ultra high performance concrete.
