A Highly Efficient Indoor Localization Scheme Based Only on Mobile Terminal

摘要
Indoor localization has been paid more and more attention in recent years. However, current localization based on mobile terminal requires remote server. In this paper, a highly efficient indoor localization scheme based only on mobile terminal is proposed. In this scheme, popularized Wi-Fi hot spots are used to generate RF (radio frequency) fingerprint, built-in sensors of the mobile terminal are used to measure displacement of users, and a novel movement filtering algorithm is presented to improve localizing accuracy by taking displacement into account. Without remote server and Internet connecting, the proposed scheme can realize low delay, low energy consuming and secure indoor localization. Experimental results show that this scheme increases the localizing accuracy compared with traditional method.
