摘要
Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) is a pathology that refers to fetuses who are not able to reach optimal anthropometric development parameters, being the second cause of perinatal mortality. The purpose of this study was to examine the association between inherited thrombophilia and IUGR. In our study, the prevalence of hereditary thrombophilia was 64% (n = 32) in the group with pregnant patients with IUGR and 14% (n = 7) in the control group. This study highlighted that maternal thrombophilia in the case of intrauterine growth restriction plays an important role in the maternal thrombophilia, in which case MTHFR mutations are most often involved.
