摘要
A novel miniaturized tunable phase shifter fabricated on ridged half-mode substrate integrated waveguide technology for 5G beamforming applications is presented in this paper. The theory behind periodically loading a transmission line with tunable capacitors is summarized and the measured results show a good match with simulation. The fabricated device achieves a 34.13% width reduction over a similar design using HMSIW while maintaining comparable phase tunability of 102.4 degrees at the upper frequency band.
