Selective extraction of the carboxylic acids from the citric fermentation liquid

摘要
Based on the obtained results in the reactive extraction of carboxylic acids contained in citric fermentation broths, by Amberlite LA-2 in butyl acetate, a selective separation method of citric acid, malic acid and succinic has been proposed. Using a molar ratio of 1:1 between dicarboxylic acids and Amberlite LA-2, and adding 2-octanol as a phase modifier, the selectivity of extraction can be enhanced.
