摘要
Using two Chinese samples, we retested the dimensionality of affect, tested the resultant model's structure validity, and examined the generalizability of subjective well-being using correlation analysis and factor analysis. We found empirical support for the independence of positive and negative affect which were not bipolar opposites on the same affect spectrum. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated that a three-factor construct fitted the data better than a one- or two-factor model, which was consistent with Diener et al's (1997) "tripartite theory". Multiple indicators showed the three dimensions of subjective well-being had strong convergent and discriminant validity. Correlation with other constructs demonstrated they had strong criterion-related validity. Using Chinese samples to test the structure of subjective well-being also added a cross-cultural component to the literature an also indicated that the measure of subjective well-being could be generalized to Chinese employees.
