Facile Fabrication of Durable Superhydrophobic Materials from Mineral Soil with Wear-Resistance

摘要
Superhydrophobic materials have received great attention over the past decades because of their specific performance, but most of them may lose their superhydrophobicity under harsh conditions. In this paper, mechanical stability superhydrophobic materials were prepared from brucite particles modified by trichloro(1H,1H,2H,2H perfluorooctyl) silane (PFOTS) and a simple drop-coating. The obtained materials showed remarkable robustness against sandpaper abrasion, while retaining its superhydrophobicity even after 20 abrasion cycles loaded of 200 g. The as-prepared materials also can maintain superhydrophobicity under oil. The last but not the least, the as-prepared superhydrophobic materials could tolerate rigorous environment, and it opened a new avenue for a variety of practical applications.
