摘要
In this communication, the supercritical water gasification process of ethanol and glycerol is simulated by considering the effect of the Ru/Al2O3 catalyst concentration in thermodynamic modeling. For this purpose, the changes in Gibbs free energy of gasification and methanation reactions are correlated using the experimental points and subsequently the results are used to find the optimum condition of the processes. Findings suggest that the H2 and CH4 curves have their maximum and minimum values against the catalyst concentration, respectively. Additionally, the extremum positions of the H2 and CH4 curves are not located in same catalyst concentration. Furthermore, to study the influence of temperature, feedstock concentration as well as catalyst concentration on water-gas-shift and CO methanation, a graphical approach is proposed to interpret the model outcome. The results show that the concentration of catalyst has a substantial impact on the modeling, and it is reasonable to be considered in the calculations. (c) 2021 Hydrogen Energy Publications LLC.
