摘要
In thermal energy storage systems, the solid-liquid interface boundary in phase change materials is conventionally studied with the help of thermocouples by measuring temperature of the storage material. The other sensor, which can be used to study the solid-liquid interface is optical fibre. It works on the principle of refractive index of phase change material and material of the optical fibre. In this paper output of thermocouples and optical fibre has been compared to study solid-liquid boundary of a PCM.
