摘要
Among the many variables governing the shrinkage of ceramic substrate, packing density is the most important. The effect of binder content on the shrinkage behavior of a free and constrained sintering glass-ceramic multilayered substrate is investigated. For lower packing density, the packing of ceramics within the glass-ceramic green sheets was looser and a higher sintering shrinkage was obtained. A good agreement between the calculated and experimental vertical shrinkage is obtained for constrained sintering glass-ceramic substrates using the proposed analytical procedure.
