摘要
Mango is the most important fruit of Goa. Several varieties are in cultivation. However, alternate bearing, lack of colour, presence of fibre and poor shelf life are problems inherent in most of the important varieties. The new selection 'Cardozo Mankurad' has originated from a seedling of tile most popular cultivar possessing big fruit size, attractive colour, regular bearing, high yield and quality of the mother tree. Thus, this selection has great potential for commercial cultivation, The salient features of this selection are described in the paper.
