摘要
In the title compound, C6H9N2+center dot C6H4NO2-, the 2-amino-5-methylpyridinium cation is essentially planar, with a maximum deviation of 0.023 (2) angstrom. In the crystal, the cations and anions are linked via strong N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds, forming a two dimensional network parallel to (100). In addition, pi center dot center dot center dot pi interactions involving the pyridinium and pyridine rings, with centroid-centroid distances of 3.6383 (8) angstrom, are observed.
