Description of Helicopha queenslandensis sp nov from Australia (Trichoptera: Helicophidae)

Three males and one female of Helicopha queenslandensis sp. nov. were collected from Bunya Mountains National Park in Queensland, Australia. The species is described and illustrated, and represents the fourth known species in the genus Helicopha in Australia and the first species in the genus recorded from Queensland. The three previously described Helicopha species are H. astia from Tasmania and New South Wales, H. hortena from New South Wales, and H. delamarei from Tasmania. Helicopha queenslandensis sp. n. is described, representing the first record of Helicopha from Queensland. A key to the males of Helicopha in Australia is provided.
