Spin-glass behavior in TbPdIn and DyPdIn

摘要
Electrical resistivity, magnetization and AC-magnetic susceptibility have been measured on ferrimagnetic TbPdIn and DyPdIn. Field-cooled and zero-field-cooled magnetizations show irreversibility below the ferrimagnetic transition temperature, suggesting the appearance of spin-glass state. The spin-glass state seems to arise from spin frustration due to the rare-earth ions forming a deformed Kagome lattice. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
