Characteristics of tube bundle vibrations in cross flow

摘要
Tube bundles in a cross-flow vibrate by means of the fluid dynamic force, and the vibration is considered to be a fluid elastic vibration. The characteristics of the vibration depend greatly on the features of the fluid dynamic force and the structure of the tube bundle. So, In this study, the equations of motion of the tube bundle were derived, and the fluid dynamic forces were otained by experiment. Using these equations and fluid forces, the characteristics of vibration of tube bundle were calculated, and it was found that the critical velocity is strongly dependent on the features of the fluid dynamic force. This calculation method does not have any assumptions, so it can be used on a wide variety of problems.
