摘要：

The view proposed here is that it is important to use a kernel properly, i.e., selecting a proper value of scaling factor and positioning a kernel at right location in xi-tau plane. It is also important to obtain a priori information about a t-f distribution of a signal being analyzed by doing Fourier transform (FT) of a signal and taking the results of FT, together with the definition of GTFD, for estimating the profile of a t-f distribution in t-f plane. Tests should be generally done for properly using a kernel. Examples in the paper will show the points; of these.
