摘要
In this paper,an ultra-wideband modulator is designed by destroying the dispersion characteristics of spoof surface plasmon polaritons on the grating embedded by vanadium dioxide (VO2). When the VO2 is on the dielectric state, the boundary condition is changed, which leads to a broken of the SSPPs dispersion, resulting in dramatically amplitude modulation. The results show an excellent isolation effect up to 40 dB in a large bandwith of 120 GHz with an insertion loss better than -1 dB.
