4-benzyl-2,9-bis(phenylsulfonyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-9H-β-carboline

In the title compound, C30H26N2O4S2, the six-membered aromatic and five-membered heterocyclic rings are planar, and the six-membered heterocyclic ring is in a half-chair conformation. The phenylsulfonyl group attached to the N atom of the five-membered ring is almost perpendicular to the beta-carboline moiety. The phenylsulfonyl groups attached to N2 and N1 are in equatorial positions. The molecules are stabilized by weak inter- and intramolecular hydrogen bonds.
