摘要
In solutions of chondroitin-4-sulfate with different total Mg2+, Ca2+ and Na+ contents, the concentrations of free Mg2+, Ca2+, Na+ and K+ as well as the pH were simultaneously measured by means of ion-sensitive electrodes, as arranged in Microlyte 6 (Kone, Espoo, Finland). Chondroitin-4-sulfate reduced the concentration (activity) of free ions in the order Ca2+ > Mg2+ > Na+ > K+. The results are discussed with respect to ion binding or reduction of the ion activity coefficient and possible physiological implications.
