Numerical simulation of interaction between arc discharge and transverse magnetic field

摘要
An unsteady-state three-dimensional numerical model of radiation magnetogasdynamics is used to calculate the structure of an arc discharae which interacts with an external transverse maonetic field and transverse gas flow. The velocity field and the distribution of gas temperature obtained as a result of calculations agree with experimental data. The difference between the calculated and measured values of temperature in the discharge column is approximately 5%.
