摘要
This paper presents an object-oriented framework for building supervisory systems to run on mobile devices such as PDAs, cell phones and pocket PCs. The most distinguished features of the proposed architecture are: (i) supervisory systems are built based on object-oriented models with problem domain concepts, promoting reuse and better system engineering; (ii) proposed run-time environment is flexible in the sense that can dynamically adapt its graphical interface depending on the capabilities of the underlying hardware; (iii) adaptive behavior implementing a graceful degradation schema to cope with variations in the quality of services provided by the communication environment. The objects orientation paradigm and its known advantages for computational systems molding that involve real physic system models, as the industrial designs to be represented for the supervisory systems, is an interesting way for the molding of the supervisory systems. Aspects as the reuse of components, incapsulement of functions and attributes in a same abstraction, supported by methods oriented to objects, are great attractions for the use of this paradigm. The paper presents a case study in order to facilitate the framework comprehension.
