Two Pb(II) metal-organic complexes, namely [Pb(TCPP)(DDA)(0.5)(NO3)](n) (1) and [Pb(TCPB)(DDA)(0.5)](n) (2) (TCPP=2-(1H-1,3,7,8-Tetraaza-cyclopenta [l]phenanthren-2-yl)phenol, TCPB=2-(1H-1,3,7,8-Tetraaza-cyclopenta[l]phenanthren-2-yl)benzoic acid, H(2)DDA =1,12-dodecanedioic acid), based on the mixed ligands of 1,10-phenanthroline derivatives and H(2)DDA were synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, IR spectra, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The complex 1 presents the (6,3)-connected 2D nets, which are connected through pi-pi interactions to generate 3D supermolecular structure. While complex 2 is a 2D layer structure with (4,4)-connected topology constructed by TCPB and DDA ligands linking Pb(II) atoms. Furthermore, complexes 1 and 2 exhibit green photoluminescent properties at room temperature. CCDC: 989785, 1; 989786, 2.
