Pressure dependence of self-diffusion in bcc thallium

摘要
The dependence of tracer self-diffusion on isostatic pressure was studied in bcc Tl in the pressure range up to 0.72 GPa. Activation volumes of (0.55 +/- 0.03)Ohm (where Ohm: is the atomic volume) at 556 K and (0.45 +/- 0.05)Ohm at 515 K were obtained. The pressure effect of the self-diffusion in beta-Tl is comparable with the results previously obtained for the alkali metals Na and K.
