摘要
Thegeneralized Reynolds equation is used frequently in the hydrodynamic theory of lubrication. It is deduced from the Navier Stokes equations along with the continuity equation under certain assumptions. There are different mathematical techniques to solve partial differential equation form Reynolds equation of journal bearing. A comparative study of analytical methods for pressure distribution in journal bearing is presented in this paper. The methods implemented in this paper are hybrid approach and short bearing approximation.
