摘要
We seek to situate the reader in a ransom on neoliberal advances and the implications for social policy, revisiting some studies that have focused on analyzing the harmful consequences of the neoliberal offensive and the rebounds to the working class rights. Arise in this context of intensification of the exploitation of productive forces, the protagonism and organization of the working class and political parties, causing the change from the liberal state to the socialstate. This achievement was significant in giving direction to social policy, specifically in Brazil that did not experience a welfare state, but experienced the military, ideological and cultural dictatorship. The profession rescues its genesis from the charity and social charity marked to this day and mixed in the professional environment. The Social Service is renewed and takes a hegemonically critical stance, but it has not overcome the conservatism rooted in its origins, being a point of reflection in this study.
