摘要
The occurrence of damaged grains was studied in 12 barley varieties in a three-year period. Split of palea and endosperm was mostly affected by the variety (10 %). Incomplete overlapping of husks was also affected markedly by the variety (10 %) and it occurred most frequently in the variety Scarlett. Black tips were affected by the year (21 %) and variety (15 %). The occurrence of grains with apparently mouldy husks was surprisingly markedly affected by the variety (25 %), less substantially by the locality (10 %) and minimally by the year (3 %). Vilna, Tiffany, Prestige, and Tolar were the most sensitive to this damage.
