摘要
An important political goal in Norway is in making higher education accessible to everyone. Yet, still there are systematic differences in the extent to which members of different social groups complete higher education. This study uses the theory of planned behavior to generate knowledge about factors affecting one's intention to study at a university or college. Data collected from high school graduates were analyzed using structural equation modeling, the results showing that attitudes toward the behavior, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control all have statistically significant relationships with high school graduates' intention to study. Implications for parents and educational institutions are suggested.
