Atmospheric Icing of Transmission Line Circular Conductor Bundles in Triplex Configuration

摘要
Numerical study of atmospheric ice accretion on circular conductors in triplex configuration has been carried out at different operating and geometric conditions to get an understanding of ice accretion along conductors in triplex configuration and analyze the effects of changing distance between the conductors. The analysis were carried out for three different cases, where distance between circular conductors was changed (100, 200 & 400 mm) for each case. Results show that distance between circular conductors effects the flow and droplet behavior along each conductor that results in a significant change in ice growth and shape.
