Synthesis, crystal structure and antibacterial activity of binuclear copper(II) complex [Cu2(C4H2O6)(Phen)2(H2O)]•8H2O

摘要
The title complex [Cu-2(C4H2O6)(Phen)(2)(H2O)]center dot 8H(2)O (where phen is 1,10-phenanthroline, C4H6O6 is tartaric" acid) has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. It crystallizes in the monoclinic System, space group P2(1), with a=0.71652(6) nm, b=2.20544(17) nm, c=1.067 83(11) nm, beta=102.595(5)degrees, V=1.646 8(3) nm(3), Z=2, D-c=1.605 g center dot cm(-3), M-1=795.69, mu(Mo K alpha)=1.369 mm(-1), F(000)=820, the final R=0.034 1 and wR=0.062 2 for 5 613 observe I reflections [I > 2 sigma-(I)]. The complex is a binuclear copper compound, and the two CAI) atoms are in different coordination environments. The Cu(1) atom is five-coordinated with distorted square pyramid geometry, whereas the Cu(2 i atom assumes the coordination geometry of a distorted square plane. The distance of Cu(I) center dot center dot center dot Cu(2) is 0.354 8 nm. In addition, there exist intramolecular pi-pi stacking interactions between two phen rings with the interplanar distar ce of 0.3813 nm. The complex has a good effect against E. Coli, S. A ureus and B. Subtilis. CCDC: 634855.
