Physical properties of pneumatically spliced cotton ring spun yarns

摘要
The overall properties of yarns spliced under different splicing conditions are investigated, including strength, bending, abrasion, and appearance. A statistical model that helps to predict the overall properties of the splices under different splicing and yarn parameters is established, and the optimum splicing conditions (optimizing both the splicer and the yarn parameters) are investigated. The results also indicate that yarn linear density is the parameter that has the most important effect on the overall properties of spliced yarns.
