摘要
The present paper deals with analytical and finite element studies carried out on free flexural vibration of symmetric cross-ply composite thin rectangular plate. Natural frequencies and mode shapes were determined using analytical method based on Rayleigh-Ritz energy approach. To demonstrate the accuracy of this method, the same plate was analyzed using ABAQUS finite element code. Comparison was made between the analytical values and the finite element solution. The effects of geometrical parameters and boundary conditions on vibrations were investigated. The results obtained for the four first modes showed a very good agreement between the analytical approach and the numerical simulations. In addition, the paper presents simulations results of testing of the laminated plate with passive vibration control, knowing that this effect was not considered by some common literatures.
