摘要
The seven deadly sins are a grouping and classification of vices within Christian teaching. Recently, the seven deadly sins have been operationalised in the Vices and Virtues Scales (VAVS). The questionnaire consists of 70 items and enables to assess individual differences in the seven sins: Anger, Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride, and Sloth. This article focuses on the Polish adaptation of the VAVS and the structure of the sins as measured by VAVS. The research was conducted on the group of 280 adults. The external validity was tested by inspecting the associations with Dark Triad traits - Machiavellianism, narcissism, psychopathy. Factorial structure was tested in Exploratory Factor Analysis. Moreover, it was found was found that the sins can be grouped into two domains: the first one connected with rather weak personality and intrapersonal sins, and the second one connected with rather strong personality and interpersonal sins.
