摘要
KPC-2 has been rarely reported in hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae strains. Here, we describe a KPC-2 producing K. pneumoniae hypervirulent clone of capsular serotype K1 belonging to sequence type 11. The presence of KPC carbapenemase in hypervirulent clone could marlc an evolutionary step toward its establishment as major nosocomial pathogen. (C) 2016 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
