In-situ neutron diffraction study of the cube crystallographic texture development in Fe53%-Ni alloy during recrystallization

摘要
The crystallographic texture evolution of the Fe-Ni53% alloy during annealing was characterized by neutron diffraction. Full recrystallized texture and microstructure were found to be independent of annealing in the 500-600 °C range. From the in situ experiments, the activation energy (251 ±19 kJ/mol) of the process involved during recrystallization was found to be compatible with the Fe50%-Ni bulk interdiffusion activation energy of 256 kJ/mol. By following the diffracted intensity evolution during annealing at 580 °C from the principal components S, B, C, cube and its associated twin, the main recrystallization mechanism for the cube texture formation was found not to be governed by a specific orientation relationship.
