Dynamic analysis of the gravity model and trip assignment model

摘要：
This paper investigates the behaviour of a dynamic gravity model and a dynamic, logit-based trip assignment model, both suggested by Dendrinos and Sonis (1990). The two models describe the variations of traffic flows in, respectively, an O-D network and a road network at discrete time periods. Equilibrium anti oscillatory behaviour are found in the two models. The stability of the equilibrium in the two models is analyzed. Chaos is Pound in the dynamic gravity model and is characterized by positive Liapunov exponents and fractal dimensions.
