The publication is devoted to the features of constructing and transforming the Russian "Other" images process in Sweden and Norway, taking into account the Swedish and Norwegian domestic and foreign policy contexts, as well as relations with Russia as a whole at the beginning of the XX century. At the same time, the images of the Russian "Other" were connected with the political, social, economic and cultural processes that took place in these Scandinavian countries in the specified period. The authors of the article determine the factors that have influenced the design of the Russian "Other" images and analyze the main Swedish and Norwegian discourses about Russia at the beginning of the XX century.
