Bandpass varactor tunable filters using step impedance resonators

摘要
A bandpass varactor tunable filter has been designed to operate from 1 to 2 GHz. In order to expand a tuning range and stabilize bandwidth, step-impedance resonators with L and T coupling sections were suggested. As an illustrating example, 2xAMPx2 order filter tuned within 50% having almost constant bandwidth is reported. Integration such a filter with low-noise MMIC amp has allowed to realize zero insertion loss.
