摘要
This article analyzes the current situation in the labor market in Uzbekistan, complicated by the instability of the socio-economic situation in the country caused by the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, and also examines the dynamics of the development of processes in the field of labor relations in the near future. The pandemic disproportionately affects millions of low-paid service workers, who often work in the absence of safety measures and close physical proximity to others. Without sufficient income support, many people, even in most developed countries, will find themselves in poverty, exacerbating already high levels of income inequality. Studies show that in order to minimize negative processes in the labor market, the authorities in the next three to six months will need to make every effort to provide first aid to workers - from subsidized wages and expanded social protection to financial and tax breaks and temporary employment redistribution.
