摘要
The main objective of this study was to monitor the indoor air of two public libraries located in the city of Sao Paulo to measure the particulate material (PM) in the breathable fraction (PM10) and in the fine fraction (PM2.5). The period of experiments was from July to October 2005. Air was sampled at a flow of 16 L/min for 1 h. To collect the PM, a small volume sampler (APV), a vacuum pump, a flow metre and membranes were used. The results showed that in both libraries, the concentrations of PM10 and PM2.5 were greater indoors than outdoors, and the ratio of PM in indoor air to outdoor air was nearly 2 and nearly 3 for the two buildings.
