摘要：

Radiological reporting in chest computed tomography (CT) is primarily focused on assessing pulmonary and mediastinal abnormalities, thereby tending to overlook the heart. However, incidental cardiac abnormalities are often encountered and misdiagnosed, which may potentially impact the patient's treatment or necessitate further investigation. The aim of this pictorial review is to provide a stepwise approach to assessing the heart on routine non-electrocordiographic-gated (non-ECG-gated) chest CT and describing common and less frequent cardiac abnormalities.
