Young people and the use of Basque: unasked questions

The issue of young people's use of Basque is not new. Research has been carried out, experiments and projects have been launched, but there are many doubts about the results. It is still an issue that raises many questions and concerns. In this article we have carried out a critical reflection on the subject based on the experience we have accumulated in our research with young people over the last five years. In particular, in light of what young athletes participating in the Model D sports project have said and shown, we will need to review those questions, rethink research methods, and emphasize the importance of practices, subjectivity, and ideologies related to youth cultures.
