摘要
With rapid technological advancement, human life has been closely associated with electric equipment. Kids from a very young age are found to be excessively exposed to the screen, which affects their physical and mental development. The toddlers and preschoolers in Iraq have experienced delays in their milestone achievements due to increased screen time which requires rapid attention from parents at this stage. For this research, an action research survey design has been approached. The digital survey has been used to gain a response to open-ended and close-ended questions. 10 parents have been selected for this survey whose toddlers and preschoolers have experienced excessive addition of screen time. Data were analyzed through their responses plotted through graphical representation. The findings illustrated that the children exposed to excessive screens might have ADHD and ASD disorders. The developmental health of those children, both physically and mentally, has been severely affected. This study holds greater significance as it adds valuable insights into technology-related literature. This study benefits parents of young children addicted to mobile usage and, in the long run, fall prey to adverse cognitive, social, or behavioral effects.
