摘要
At present, the authorities approach emergency psychiatric services more and more frequently, and often in cases which pertain to social or psychosocial problems rather than to psychiatry This article attempts to evaluate requests for treatment emanating from the courts and the police to the emergency room of a general hospital in Brussels. Although it is essential to operate in partnership with the police and the judicial system, we should in no way be under any obligation to them nor to perform our duties from their perspective.
