Manganese dioxide nanosheets loaded on the carbon matrix as superior anode materials for advanced energy conversion

摘要
Although lithium-ion batteries have employed in many areas, there is still great challenge to enhancing the cycle stability and the energy density. Given that the manganese dioxide is a promising material in the field of the energy conversion, we wanted to design it as the anode materials in the lithium-ion batteries. However, the manganese dioxide material suffers from poor cycling stability, when directly used anode materials in the lithium-ion batteries. Therefore, we designed manganese dioxide composites by recombining the manganese dioxide with the carbon matrix. The structure of the as-prepared C@MO composites was determined by BET, XPS and XRD, confirming the mesoporous structure and the chemical valence in the C@MO composites. Due to this hybrid structure, the as-prepared C@MO composites exhibit superior electrochemical performance, including high specific capacity and stable cycling performance.
